The famous Philippine fastfood chain, Jollibee has appeared on American musical-tv show Glee.
The restaurant, owned Tony Tan Caktiong and is popular for its fried chicken, spaghetti and hamburgers, was shown in the background as Artie Abrams (played by Kevin McHale) performed a dance number at Eagle Rock Mall in Los Angeles, California.
Video clips and images from the “Glee” episode were uploaded on the Internet on Tuesday, and became a hot topic on Twitter.
PR Manager Arline Adeva feels proud tp be associated with the show. She hopes that additional publicity will translate to higher sales, particularly in the US. She further states that they are doing well but it is hard to run a store there since there are a lot of competitors.
Jollibee also has branches in Brunei, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia, among others.
