An hour past midnight, I was watching HBO (Asia), featuring King of Pop Michael Jackson’s This Is It.
This is in commemoration of MJ’s first death anniversary. I was in awe. Amazing talent, a superb performance! Like what director Kenny Ortega said, brilliant.
Everybody knew who Michael Jackson was. I had seen some of his music videos. Who wouldn’t remember Michael Jackson “Thriller” music video? But watching him during rehearsals was even more exciting. You get to see his other side, how he really was as a person. It was monumental.
While watching, one member of the band said that he was humble. True enough, he let the lady playing the electric guitar shine. He said, ” it’s now time for you to shine, we’re all be there for you.” For a brief moment, I saw MJ again come alive. For a brief moment, he was existing. MJ is an epitome of one of the great entertainers of our time.
We lost one great performer. We could only remember Michael Jackson in our memories. A memory not only of a brilliant performer but more so of someone of someone who personifies humbleness despite an astounding success.
Michael Jackson, King of Pop. Love lives Forever
