The first time I saw Amanda Seyfried, honestly, I didn’t like it. I first saw her in the movie Mama Mia and I found the movie a little boring. Not even the presence of Meryl Streep prodded me to finish the movie until its end.
I had a few chances of seeing her in other movies like Jennifer’s Body with Megan Fox, and Dear John with Channing Tatum. I must say that the more the I watched her, the more I got interested in her and in turn, I’d learned to like her. And watching this movie, Letters to Juliet all the more confirmed my fondness of her.
Letters to Juliet is all about second chances in love. Juliet’s House is a place where people, mostly women who are broken hearted that came from different parts of the world that would write letters to Juliet and post it on the wall of Juliet’s House’s courtyard. Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) got interested in it that she volunteered to be one of the secretaries, secretary who writes back to women about their love problems. While they were collecting the letters, Sophie found a letter dating 50 years back. When she read it, she decided to write back believing that in love, there is no expiration date.
You’ve got to see the movie for yourself to find out how exciting the turn of events evolved. Spilling it would spoil your anticipation of the beauty of romance.
This is one movie that would make you believe in love over and over again. Despite all the pain that one goes through when you’re in love, I must say, that it is all worth it.
