I am both a fan of Leonardo di Caprio and Angelina Jolie.
No, I did not become Leonardo di Caprio’s fan after watching Titanic. It was in Departed, with equally favorite Matt Damon, when he was a bit older , that I got to like him. He was very manly in that movie and oozing with sex appeal.
With Angelina Jolie, I am an absolute fan. She has always been on the list of top paid actresses. In fact, I think I love her more than Leonardo de Caprio. I missed Inception but no regrets at all. I could easily catch it on DVDs.
I missed her Lara Croft and Tomb Raiders. I watched her initially in Taking Lives. From then on, I fell in love with her. Not only was I glued to watching her in the movies she makes but more so, with her personal life. She has totally matured. From a rebellious young woman, to a mature, responsible, honest and sexy woman. Everybody have seen her transformation.
I watched her in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Wanted, Changeling and now, Salt. I must admit that I prefer watching her doing action films for I find her sexier .
I had long been waiting for Salt, since last year. In fact, on my eagerness to watch her, I was even fooled. I bought a DVD bearing the Salt movie poster. I saw it, and I said, Salt movie on DVD? Yes I bought but then as it turned out, the movie was Taking Lives.
Salt was originally intended for Tom Cruise but he turned it down, to his lost hehehehe. It may be unbelievable to anyone to see a woman doing stunts, but not for me. There is no other Hollywood actress who could do action scenes in the same way Angelina Jolie does.
I do love the scene seeing her jumping from one truck to another. I loved it when she snatched the motorcycle and speed away from the CIA who were all hunting her.
Watching the whole movie made me feel edgy on my seat. The suspense was unending. Aside from that , it showed how great an actress Angelina Jolie was specifically in the scene where her husband was killed right in front of her. She was apathetic, just the right execution at that particular scene. The Russian defector had to know if Angie was still on their side or not. What a way to test one’s loyalty?
Salt is one movie that you should not dare miss, whether you are a fan or not. Watch out for the twist in the movie on the second half.
What is Angelina Jolie’s next? Aha, The Tourist with Johnny Depp. Can’t wait to watch it!!! :)
