President Barack Obama on Friday has allowed illegal immigrants, who came to the United States at the age of 16 to remain in the country without fear of deportation.
The executive action can benefit 800,000. This will allow illegal immigrants to go come out of the shadow, work legally and obtain their driver’s licenses.
“They are Americans in their heart, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper. “
The Department of Homeland Security will no longer initiate deportation to those who came to the United States at the age of 16, living in the US for 5 years and are in school, are high school graduates or are military veterans in good standing. The immigrants must also be under 30 and have clean criminal records.
